We have a customer with a requirement for servers in Saudi Arabia and wondered if anyone has any recommendations of providers there that we could pass onto them?
The customer has an enterprise project so requires quality provider/network rather than just the cheapest provider.
I am looking for a good server or vps provider except (Hetzner & OVH).
Request:
-Good support
-Good bandwidth:
-Good cost
*Hetzner & OVH: It's really good, but I want to find more powerful new providers to experience the service, and expand the servers in Europe.
Thank you, and leave me some reviews
please,
any alternative to hetzner in europe? I already have several servers at Hetzner and wanted to have a backup provider.
would have something with dell or hp amd epyc servers with similar prices besides leaseweb?
Hi there!
I currently have 3 Proxmox servers in a cluster with OVH, but their customer service is shocking to say the least.
I've been trying to find a similar provider, but I can't find anything near as comparable for the price/spec I'm after.
The spec for each server is:
AMD Epyc 7351P - 16c/32t - 2.4 GHz/2.9 GHz
256 GB ECC 2400 MHz
2500 GB SSD NVMe
UK (This is a must)
Proxmox VE 6
I don't need any managed services, just access to the bare metal.
Can anyone recommend a provider who can provide me with a similar spec and price to these? I currently pay around £200/month per server.
Thanks!
Hello people i am working to make a vps service.
I allready started with 4 Xeon E3-1230/40 Servers with 16 gb ram and 500 gb ssd 5 ip usables - i am paying now 30$ month for each server ( 120$ total )
i was looking for another provider with better protection anti ddos , better network , better location...
I look for a new provider with this config Dual Xeon E5-2430 - 64 GB RAM - 3 x500 GB SSD... 100$ month. 20 IPs
I have a very tight budget because I have very low prices....
I just don't want to degrade the performance of the service to my clients, I don't oversell on any server.
I am using vmware esxi and proxmox .... and all my vps are using windows server
any recomendation o provider is welcome.
Thanks
We've been with Hetzner for years and, while satisfied with the hardware and technical support and infrastructure, quite unhappy with support/sales/abuse departments where it always feels like they're doing one a favor in even answering and often make little effort to actually help.
So my question is if there's any hosting provider to match what they offer? We want to upgrade from our current servers and one type of servers we looked into are https://www.hetzner.com/dedicated-rootserver/ax41 which you can get in Germany* for 39 EUR/month (plus 39EUR setup fee) (prices without VAT as we're outside EU). This is a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Hexa-Core which has a passmark > 17,000 and comes with 64GB RAM and 2 x 512 GB NVMe SSD. When I found something similar with OVH (slightly better CPU, 3600X instead of 3600), it 105 USD per month when committing to 24 months which is more than double.
Another type we were looking at is the https://www.hetzner.com/dedicated-rootserver/ax51
Anyway, any matching offers elsewhere? We can probably take some bandwidth limitation and cool with either EU or US locations.
*They have a center in Finland but when I did a bit of research it seemed it offers much worse network connectivity so while 5 EUR cheaper per server, doesn't seem to be worth the risk.
We have some older SolusVM nodes in the UK & NL that we are looking to upgrade to Proxmox. Our current hosts have been fairly reliable from an uptime/network perspective but not the greatest when it comes to support. Not that we need it very often but when a node is having issues, response times and capable support techs are important. That being said we are looking provider for recommendations with the following requirements.
1) Familiar with Proxmox however we will take care of installing/managing Proxmox via IPMI/ssh/web interface.
2) Able to provide custom hardware configs and possibly private VLAN's for backups or subnet overlays for multiple nodes to share IP space.
3) Responsive support with a clue and knowledgeable pre-sales staff to help spec the servers.
4) Tier 4 DC in London and Amsterdam (or can be 2 different providers).
We're also considering just reselling VPS services so we're also open recommendations on VPS resellers in those locations.
And Go.....
TIA
I have received some great help from this amazing forum regarding finding a good storage hosting provider and I'm currently negotiating with a few companies: Sharktech, Psychz, Leaseweb, (OHV)
The main difference between these hosts are the BW cost and it varies a lot. I would like to ask about CDN rates as if we can get a good CDN deal we don't have to care so much about the Origin BW usage.
Can you let me know the most cost-effective CDN's and their pricing for:
~1Gbps/300TB Month = ?
~10Gbps/3PB Month = ?
~30Gbps/10PB Month = ?
When looking at the online comparison charts and CDN calculators the offers are very crappy and we need to get much deeper into the good deals so trying to get some business intelligence before starting some serious negotiations.
Just an example of a "cheap" CDN provider is BelugaCDN who quoted 1PB/month at $5K we wouldn't even pay $500 for this so what's going on with these crazy rates floating around?
Thanks again!
Looking for the cheapest place to get one anyone have any recommendations ?
Looking to lease not to buy.
Thanks
Please make some suggestions/recommendations.
I was backing up some servers to Hetzner dedicated server with JetBackup, but it's very slow even with incremental. I see iowait is around 30.00% plus.
The servers I'm backing up have 2Gbps connections, yet having cheap but fast backup storage with a 2Gbps connection can be quite expensive unless I don't know of the good ones?
Ps I already have bare metal backup hosted in the cloud for primary backup which is already extremely fast, and so if too much hassle/expensive can just drop the secondary backup with Hetzner/JetBackup.
