OVH - Strange Packet Loss

Hi,

I ordered an OVH server with 1GBPS unlimited.

When i put 800-900 MBPS the network starts to lose some packets.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be? I have already sent a request for help to them, but the support is poor.

Already checked cpu - hd - ram, everything ok.

psychz.net Johannesburg server/connection issue

Hello Evey one
plz, be careful with the fraud server company.
30 % packet loss only 6Mbps speed you will get the whole operation to manage by one network admin.
mostly at night, he is out of the office.
support hardly picks the phone or reply any ticket.
sales are the same no reply at all .

Server Location: Johannesburg Ip address - 172.107.93.10 .
this speed test IP has more than 40 % packet loss.

Plz avoid this company

Rapidswitch slow network

Hi,

Anyone out there on Rapidswitch servers having issues with network speeds
I have 3 dedi's with 1gb ports with them and 2 of them 30.0MB/s and the other 74.1MB/s, used to get full port speeds but recently getting very poor
Tested with speedtest.tele2.net and leaseweb.net and get the same speed, tested over 3 days as well and mostly constant
MTR shows no packet loss or high latency etc..

Any other test sites that are in london Uk?

Cheers

Hetzner network stability

We are renting some servers in hetzner fsn (about 40) in different dcs with 10g connectivity. About 1 or 2 times in month we have network problems. 30 or 40 % of packet loss for one or two minutes.
It always connected to one datacenter . For example we have that problem with 7 servers in dc14 from 13:39:00 till 13:40:30 cest. Contacting support always leads to big works like additional logs, mtr and etc. We are losing a lot of time.
Hetzner support always says that the problem is on our side. But sometimes they propose to free exchange of server or server migration. But they never confirm problem on their side. That's all. We are using very different server configuration from kubernetes on bare metal to hyper-v vms with sql server. Most of our servers are amd epyc ax161.

The problems was really serious in December. We have constant problems (once a day) with all new servers in dc15. We resolved it by relocating servers to dc16 and problem disappeared for some months.

Currently we really don't know what to do. In march we had it 3 times with dc4 and dc13(not sure). Does someone has the problem? Can you advice hosting with great support and not very high prices?

support :
I took a look at your log files. I didn't see any errors or warnings. Based on the image you provided, and the fact that your machine has generally been on when I've checked it, I suspect there is a networking issue. I don't know if a reinstall will knock it out. Maybe a network diagnostic will uncover the problem? Something like ethtool or iperf. That's just a guess though, I don't really know what you're doing with your server to give you a better diagnosis.
pleas help
support no answer ticket after 2 day

IOFLOOD - 3 Month Review

IOFLOOD 3 Month Review

I signed up with IOFLOOD for a Dual E5-2680v2 dedicated server about 3 months ago and wanted to give an update.

When signing up there is a 24-72 hour set up time. They were able to set me up earlier as I was a Webnx refugee. (If set up time is important to you, just take a note)

Let's talk speed, the speed test's download is 600 Mbps and upload 400 Mbps

Now, server response time for webpages is 100 MS or less from the tests done.

Sometimes email response time is a little slower than the liquid webs of the world. (10 minute response time or less). But we have had little reason to contact support.

Most important of all is uptime. We have had 100% uptime since signing up. We did have downtime recently for a ram upgrade. (Which is to be expected).

So, I would give them an A+
I have upgraded some features of my server. But current specs and price are below. I added additional RAM from the base set up and some additional IP's.. But couldn't be happier with the service and the price is quite reasonable.

Server specs and price
Dual E5-2680v2, 100TB / mo bandwidth on 1gbps, 256GB RAM, 2x 1.6TB NVMe SSD, unmanaged, 2x /29 IPs, $191.50.

10 Gbps Server Settings and Nginx Config

Hello All,

I recently upgraded a dedicated server I have with Hivelocity in their Tampa 2 datacenter to 10 Gbps networking and I'm having a hard time getting anything above 1.5 Gbps out of the server. I have been searching and trying different settings with Nginx for 2 days with no luck on improving the situation and support has not been very helpful with this one. We did a iperf test a couple times and they only got 750 Mbps to there speedtest server which I thought was odd.

Does anyone who has experience with 10 Gig networking have any tips I could try for Nginx or server OS optimizations? The server is serving a 300 Mb static file (that is downloaded in 5 threads at once) for the most part and needs to handle downloads from it of about 3000 Mbps (Verizon Ultrawideband). The server is a Six Core Xeon with 32GB of ram and 512GB NVMe SSD.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Bare metal in Singapore

I am currently using Herzner and i am located in Pakistan. Problem is that i am having alot of packet drop and they are in main transmission line. Hetzner claim that they don't have power of network other than theirs. My ISP claims same.
I am running online class so i can't afford packetloss.

Solution i am using: i am using vpn which is channeling all traffic from VPN Singapore to hetzner germany. Which seems working. But unfortunately its not permenant solution

I tried moving server to UK but it showed same error.

So i am planning moving my server permenant to Singapore.
I am unable to find any server in Singapore in ky budget.
I am currently giving 34 euros with 1gbps connectivity.

Please suggest some server around 40usd.

Looking for a server provider in EU, Unlimited Bandwidth, Except OVH & Hetzner

I am looking for a good server or vps provider except (Hetzner & OVH).
Request:
-Good support
-Good bandwidth:
-Good cost
*Hetzner & OVH: It's really good, but I want to find more powerful new providers to experience the service, and expand the servers in Europe.
Thank you, and leave me some reviews
