Hello everyone
Using mailchannels for sending email from cpanel servers. Recently observed that our emails are not getting relayed to mailchannels. Also facing issues with email receiving.
Support staff has been trying to see issue and think it's due to dns - anyone expert around the topic can help me in the direction of where to look further?
Appreciate all the help in advance.
Thanks
Been a customer of ServerComplete since mid 2017, service was great until a few months ago when I started to have issues sending emails due to their SMTP filtering simply not working or never delivering the email to the mailbox of the recipient. Lately I've also been having issues with them expiring the cPanel license that's ordered through their customer portal and taking longer and longer to active it once again so that cPanel can continue working. Currently have 2 unanswered tickets that have been open for over 15 hours at this point and their ticket page in said customer portal states the following "Our Technical Support department should be utilized for all issues outside of emergency and server outage issues. Our Technical Support team is available 24/7 and on average, you should see a response to your issue within 12 hours.", the lack of communication and action is quite disheartening and frustrating.
I rented a new root from altushost.com running cloudlinux and cpanel/whm.
Its already running pretty good but i have problems with sending and recieving emails.
Im sure because something is misconfigured as im not an expert.
Problems when sending:
Emails go to spam folder
Problems on recieving:
Its not possible to recieve emails and the sender gets the following error:
Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.
<contact@server2000.org>:
550: 5.1.1 <contact@server2000.org>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table
I attached some pictures from the whm and domain settings.
If you need more info please ask.
I hope someone can help me because im desperated and dont know what to do.

Hi friends,
I configured a Cluster DNS with:
-1 Master server (WHM/cPanel)
-3 slave servers (with 3 VPS, cPanel DNSOnly): dns1.mydomain.com -> VPS 1, dns2.mydomain.com -> VPS 2, dns3.mydomain.com -> VPS3
But I have some questions and not found replies in google. I never used Cluster DNS (I always create 3 DNS for each webhosting server). This is the last step for finalize the migration's odyssey and can forgot the old server with her problems. I'll be very grateful if you reply me this last questions:
1- I goes to Master server (WHM/cPanel) -> DNS Cluster -> "Enable DNS Clustering". I need do the same step in Salve servers or not is needed?.
2- I went to Master server (WHM/cPanel) -> DNS Cluster -> Add a new server to the cluster -> Configure -> And I added the 3 slave servers here. I keep the default options: Setup Reverse Trust Relationship = Enabled, Synchronize Zones Immediately = Enabled, Debug mode = disabled, DNS Role = Standalone.
I need do the same step between the slave servers?, for example: go to to slave server 1 -> DNS Cluster -> Add a new server to the cluster -> Configure -> Add the SLAVE SERVER 2 AND 3.
Also I need add the master server to the slave servers?.
My current configuration is: ONLY ADDED SLAVE SERVERS TO MASTER SERVER.
3- The "Standalone" mode is the correct mode? or "Synchronize changes" is better?.
4- I added this 3 new DNS to the webhosting server (WHM/cPanel -> Basic WebHost Manager -> Nameservers). But I see that anybody can add my DNS to her WHM/cPanel and send her Zone DNS to my Cluster DNS. How can I block other webhosting servers and only permit Zone DNS from my webhosting servers?.
Thanks in advance. Have a nice day.
When i change my notification email in the script, my server smtp starts sending old same notification email again and again into new email, i dont know how to ask this question but dont know how to solve.
Hello, from some days any user is doing mass mailing from our server and now our IP is blocked in SpamHaus etc.
these things are happening with me from last 4 months, i request to delist and then after 10 days it''s again got listed !
i read all forums and documentations and spent 1 month but nothing changed ! now i am agree that documentations won't help me in this case.
i want to ask that How can i disable PHPMailer in my cPanel/WHM Server?
Like my clients won't be able to send email using PHP mail function , they requires to use SMTP. i turned on tweak setting of that nobody but nothing happened. tell me any proper solution please. if any client send email from PHP Mail functon then his email will directly rejected !
This isn't serious. I bought a new server with a new IP, we not sent never emails yet.
When my client try to send email to Gmail, Yahoo and other companies receive him without problems. But Hotmail/Outlook block the IP and return this message:
Code:
"host hotmail-com.olc.protection.outlook.com [x.x.x.x]
SMTP error from remote mail server after pipelined MAIL FROM:email@email.com SIZE=1797:
550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from [x.x.x.x] weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3140). You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors. [.eop-EUR01.prod.protection.outlook.com]"
WTF!!!, this is frustrating. How can happens this if we never used this server and have a new IP. I did test with many blacklist tools and the IP is clean.
Hotmail/Outlook need disapear, they are blocking IPs for nothing.

Greetings WHT,
I wanted to issue a large dose of caution for fellow WHT users regarding our recent experience with PhoenixNAP/Secured Servers as their new policies run the possibility of breaking your integrations and create undue headache.
On May 7th, PhoenixNAP/Secured Servers sent an email to us asking us for feedback on a support ticket that had been opened, apparently on our behalf. We had no knowledge of this and our email filters actually flagged the message as SPAM. We found the email in the SPAM filter and it had a few obvious red flags. First, the ticket was titled "Password Rotations" and it came from their support at securedservers email, which is an email we typically do not get messages from. Obviously as soon as we read the message, we immediately reached out to them to find out who authorized the "password rotations" on a production, client facing server.
In speaking with their support agent via live chat, PhoenixNAP/Secured Servers has implemented a new company wide policy to start changing customer's root and user account passwords, without their permission, and without verifying with the customer. In the original email (which we did not get as it appears someone incorrectly opened the ticket in their system to show it was "us" that opened the ticket rather than the support agent), it states:
"Dear Customer,
We are notifying you that we have updated the root and user passwords for your
server in accordance with industry standard password maintenance
recommendations. We will continue to update the passwords on a regular schedule
that coincides with your patching schedule and the passwords will be posted to
your servers device page where you can view them in your portal. If you have any
questions please don't hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to answer
them.
Regards,"
The email is unsigned as to who sent it.
This server has their managed services on it at the client's request as they want a prompt response from the NOC should there be any issues, however the client did not, does not, and never asked for their passwords to be changed in this manner. As a result, our client experienced a broken integration for their custom environment, which we had to deal with their frustrations, (this is not the first time that PhoenixNAP/Secured Servers has broken this specific client's machine. They took the server offline for several hours back in December 2019, without permission, without a request to do so, and with no notice, because another customer of theirs opened a support request for a mem test. They also only gave us approximately a 10$ credit for their mistake.), and the best we get from them is, paraphrasing, "opps, sorry, but if you want this practice to stop, you need to drop the managed services."
We have less than 90 days left on the contract with them and have asked to be let out of that term so we can move our client to our primary datacenter vendor, with whom we know will not pull this kind of monkey poo with us. Thus far they are refusing to let us out per the "management team" so I have asked for a call directly with them. I'll update once that happens. This is the last machine we have with them and I am hoping our primary DC vendor can get us a deal to make this move happen as quickly as possible.
I'm not sure who in their right mind thinks its perfectly acceptable to randomly change a customer's root and user account passwords without their permission, knowledge, and without verifying with the customer if they even want this performed. Yes it's good practice to always change your passwords, however for a party who is once removed from the client, this should in no way be acceptable unless they have received, in writing, to do so. If this was one of our servers that housed our programs, I wouldn't be as upset about it, but when it starts affecting our client's and this is the second time you've done so, I am beyond upset. And the best you can do is offer us the 10$ credit in December and an empty apology this time around?
Word to the wise, if you're using PhoenixNAP/Secured Servers, watch your accounts closely, especially if you are using their managed services. They will monkey with your stuff without your permission.

I just setup a server 2 x 500GB SSD - CentOS 7.9 - cPanel 94.0.2, and the filesystem will not allow quota function because the default is quotas disabled.
I ran the cPanel tool to enable quotas and it returns true with notice to reboot, but it remains disabled
Code:
journaled quota support: kernel supports, user space tools supports (available)
UUID=627a44c8-1c7b-4a4f-8236-3b83f82300a5 (already configured quotas = 1).
UUID=7bd01ba6-af01-423f-986a-84a588c2a404 (already configured quotas = 0).
Updating Quota Files..........Done
Quotas have been enabled and updated.
You must reboot the server to enable XFS® filesystem quotas.
Has anyone had this issue and did you resolve it? If yes, what was the method?
Host recommendations needed. Let me start by saying, THANKS in advance for your replies.
I own a (very) small US-based business and my website/email hosting has been with LiquidWeb since they acquired my previous host WiredTree.
LiquidWeb ignored a support ticket yesterday and as my yearly payment comes due next week I thought I probably owe it to myself to at least evaluate my options before it renews.
My biggest priority is knowing I have good managed support when I need it. Problem is, having support tickets linger in the cue for a day or so until I call/chat them and ask when it's going to get looked at has been a pretty constant problem since day one. And it's not like I'm inundating them with support tickets either. My website development has been on hold the past couple years due to personal reasons, so this might be the first support ticket I've even opened this year other than asking them to whitelist an IP because their automated process for that doesn't work.
Looks like I'm paying about $2,400/year for a Cloud Dedicated server and $800/year for a second smaller plan (old WiredTree VPS plan).
The main server appears to be 8 core (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1271 v3 @ 3.60GHz) with a 24/900/5 config (I think). I'm not currently taxing the box at all; it's a total overkill in all regards. One downside to LiquidWeb is at the time I moved this server from a VPS to this plan I was kind of forced into a much, much higher plan than I really needed because every option in between had the same limited disk space my VPS had and the only reason I needed to upgrade was that I was pushing disk limits.
As such, being able to scale up or down in the future without having to make huge jumps is also important.
As of right now, the second (VPS) server could easily be absorbed by the first. I actually intended to do that a year ago when my bill came due but then life got in the way and it fell through the cracks.
Both my boxes are managed CentOS/WHM/cPanel with Root access. I did not migrate away from cPanel when the prices went up. If there's something legitimately better than cPanel I'm happy to evaluate it, but until then it's the devil I know.
Prior to WiredTree/LiquidWeb I had 2 VPS plans at ServInt. Originally ServInt was excellent... until they weren't. But even after they outsourced their support overseas, I really still didn't have support issues. I left ServInt because my boxes were aging badly and all signs said the company was in trouble. I will also say my brief experience with WiredTree support before they got bought out was amazing.
Before ServInt I was with Inmotion Hosting (originally shared hosting then a VPS albeit without Root access). I will say I have no desire to work with any host that sells shared plans again.
As far as budget is concerned, I can afford what I'm currently paying. Yes I'd love to be paying less although that's not what's driving this search. If I stay with LiquidWeb, I'll migrate the VPS into the Cloud Dedicated and downsize to $2,400/year. If I'm paying less elsewhere, I expect it's because I downsized the Cloud Dedicated server's specs.
When I left ServInt for WiredTree, recommendations from this site caused me to have a short list of WiredTree, KnownHost, FutureHosting and LiquidWeb. I've seen recent recommendations in other threads for KnownHost and BigScoots, so that's where my current short list begins. Any recommendations are appreciated.
