Dedicated for image/photo site

I'm currently looking for dedicated servers in APAC.

Specs I wanted:
- CPU: Intel i7/Xeon E3-12xx (Ryzen is much better)
- RAM: 32-64GB RAM
- Storage: prefer SSD, HDD is okay.
- Network: 500mbps or above (5tb/10tb).

My budget is around US$ 70-150/mo.

Yes there are several providers in the region, but there are some issues.

1. OVH
Their APAC servers seems to be sold out (Rise/APAC lineup)

2. Leaseweb
Requires business/entrepreneurship registration, but servers are for personal use/under my name.

3. PhoenixNAP
Servers are in stock, budget fits well, but their upstream & network routing does not fit with my users (and they're not in SG exchanges? eqx sg, sgix, megaport?)

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Please make some suggestions/recommendations.

I was backing up some servers to Hetzner dedicated server with JetBackup, but it's very slow even with incremental. I see iowait is around 30.00% plus.

The servers I'm backing up have 2Gbps connections, yet having cheap but fast backup storage with a 2Gbps connection can be quite expensive unless I don't know of the good ones?

Ps I already have bare metal backup hosted in the cloud for primary backup which is already extremely fast, and so if too much hassle/expensive can just drop the secondary backup with Hetzner/JetBackup.

We are currently looking for Romania Dedicated Servers . Looking for budget friendly and 64GB Ram and 4x1TB SSD or 2x2TB NVMe storage setup . Also cheap IP cost would be nice .

I am looking to rent 4x large storage servers with around 120tb of hdds in each.
We would also need two fairly powerful dedicated servers one at 10 gigabit with 32gb memory and 256gb ssd and around 200tb external bandwidth and another with around 50tb at gigabit, 32gb memory, 256gb ssd and a 2tb hdd. We would need a internal network connecting all these systems together ideally this would run at 10gbps or above. We would likely be looking to upgrade our external bandwidth over time.

Not bothered about location looking for long term relationship with provider as we will likely buy more of these servers as we expand.
Please bare in mind with a quote that we are running on quite a tight budget.

I guess they deserve to have this feedback, I've been using wholesaleinternet dedicated servers since 1st of January 2013 over 8 years damn! I am getting old

I used to have dedicated server with expensive providers before I met wholesaleinternet, believe or not I have less problem with wholesaleinternet after I changed from previous dedi provider. I have 0 problem last 5-6 years. These guys knows what they are doing from management to support, they have backup power, backup internet providers etc to maintain servers in good shape.

Price: I don't think you would find better pricing than wholesaleinternet I also have ovh budget dedicated servers close to wholesaleinternet prices they are also good after wholesaleinternet.

Support: When I had dedicated server with expensive service providers, response time of tickets around 2-12 hours. believe or not every time I create ticket with wholesaleinternet they response and make it happen solution nearly in an hour. My last interact was I need to have KVM and they installed within 30min. I have no words with these guys they are not only fast but also proactive.

What do you consider appropriate maximum CPU load for PHP-FPM server with hyperthreading on and off?

With hyperthreading off, I consider the load linear, and consider about up to 70% safe, with a 30% safety margin.
With hyperthreading on, I noticed with experience and on prior google searches that the load % does not go up linearly and increases more rapidly at high values, so I consider up to 50% safe, since at above 50% the percentage increases more rapidly than under 50%.

But, I ask this because I may be to conservative as I noticed many Cloud autoscaling guides use 60~70% as a scale out threshold, and Cloud servers usually have hyperthreading on.
Personally I had always considered 60~70% dangerous.

I am trying to find an alternative to Hetzner's SX133 which is ridiculously great priced. How do they even do that? Well done Hetzner. On 24/03/2021 - SX133's specs a
Intel® Xeon® W-2145 8 cores, 16 threads,
128 GB DDR4 ECC,
2 x 960 GB NVMe SSD,
10 x 16 TB (SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 rpm) a whooping 160 TB of storage,
1 Gbit/s connection,
Unlimited traffic,
159.00 (without TAX) I need this for an image hosting website, where users do sometimes upload adult content. Sadly Hetzner TOS (point 6.2) does not allow that and they are entitled to block access to the account of any customer who violates this. Which is fine - it's their rules.


My budget is 180 EUR (without TAX), but I don't even need such fancy specs as Hetzner provides. I am completely okay to settle with something like:
4 core, 8 thread CPU,
32 GB DRR3 ECC,
2 or even 1 240 GB SATA SSD,
The most important factor is storage. The more the better, the minimum would be ~100 TB (SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 rpm)

Website last month traffic was 500 TB, but since 90% is cached by CDN...would still need about 50 TB. Obviously unlimited traffic would be great. Seems like very few hosting companies actually offer dedicated servers for storage purposes. I have already checked OVH, Leaseweb, OneProvider, Flaunt7 and some local country hostings, but it seems like noone is even close in comparison to what Hetzner offers. It's like their offer is from the future and hopefully in 1-2 years time, others will get there as well.

It be nice if server were located somewhere close to West/Middle of Russia.


P.S As another option, maybe I could rent more then one dedicated server so that their storage capacity would be ~100 TB and going with CEPH instead of RAID6, but still, can't exced 180 EUR budget. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Im searching for a dedicated server(s) with the following specs:
CPU: Any 6 core + ryzen cpu OR dual xeon E5 with atleast 16 cores / 32 threads
RAM: 64GB+
Storage: Atleast 512GB non hdd
GPU: Any nvidia gpu with atleast 1-2GB will do the job, i dont have any use for quicker and more expensive ones
Network: Dosent matter
Location: Dosent matter
Budget: The lower the better, im also looking for multiple servers at once

I come to tell you a little about my experience in QPS.

The network in all this time monitored 24/7 with 100% uptime and speed between 500 to 900 mbps

the hardware has been really good, I only had a slight problem with a disk in one of the servers but it could have probably been due to software damage. change the server and everything is perfect.

Thanks to QPS, it helped me to run a stable business and my customers were very happy.
