What is the path the companies take to have IPs registered to their own business names in dedicated server business? So basically if someone looks up an IP it shows a company name of whoever owns or leases the IPs.
Hi,
I am looking for two unmanaged servers in Europe. Network uptime and responsiveness of tech support are of priority.
Shortlisted a few companies so far:
Simply Hosting
HiVelocity
ServerMania
Anyone has any recommendations or otherwise for these or other companies?
Thanks.
I am planning to purchase a dedicated server to virtualize with proxmox. I have gone through OVH and hetzner plans but I was more attracted to online.net (scaleway dedibox) better than the first two. Have anyone used online.net dedicated servers over UAE location? How is the speed? Please let me know which of these companies will be providing the best server and if you have any better suggestion (within the price range of these companies).
Any of these providers does not have any DC in UAE or GCC. As such, please do let me know the DC location to be selected along with the server provider.
Hi,
I currently work for a company which specializes mainly in full managed hosting for larger companies and full IT outsourcing of operations like ActiveDirectory, Exchange, etc. We maintain a large stack of dedicated and also cloud VPS infrastructure for our clients in local tier3 datacenters. Recently we began to upgrade most of our server equipment and so we are left with a lot of replaced older model enterprise and consumer grade servers.
Since we never had a way of working with selling VPS or dedicated servers via web page - never tried the webhosting business in mass scale ,there was an idea that popped into my head in the last weeks. Would there be a webhosting market to reuse the replaced hardware and offer them as dedicated servers via our webpage or is this kind of hardware simply to low end even with competitive pricing?
We are currently mainly talking about DELL R610 6core servers with different RAM sizes and disks which ofcourse can be customized, and consumer grade i5 and i7 servers with custom configurations.
With our experience we would of course provide all the necesary as 99,9% uptime, DDOS, ipKVM, Unmetered bandwidth, support, as we provide for our enterprise clients from our main business model.
Any suggestion/ constructive debate is welcomed, as I said..just an idea that popped up in my mind.
Maybe this is not the correct part of the forum, so sorry in advance
Hello is there any guides on how to setup webhosting with cPanel etc on Dedicated Server.
I'm not a big fan of reseller hosters and is there a "limit" when you should register yourself as a business?
I've been looking for companies just like OVH and SYS which charge only setup fee for additional IP addresses or Failover IPs one purchases, but no luck so far since I've been using dedicated servers for like years now. All other companies like Hetzner, OneProvider, Scalway, etc all charges a set amount of monthly fees.
Just made an account to see if I can get help from you guys.
Hello,
I am starting my own business selling game servers. I am going to purchase a dedicated server monthly, install tcadmin to automatically allocate resources to new customers buying their own servers for various different video game titles. How will I know when my first dedicated server will reach its limit? In other words how will I know what prices/plans to set to flip a profit on my first dedicated server?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
We're currently considering these two companies for a few managed dedicated servers. Can anyone chime into what we can expect from their managed services?
We have our own backend admin who can do basic tasks, but sometimes he needs extra assistance with things, and we're not really sure how flexible these companies are in terms of assisting in such situations. Basically, we need very little assistance, but when we do, we expect a competent person on the other end who actually wants to help/diagnose.
It's also important that the companies haven't outsourced their support to some 3rd party unknown entity. We need to be sure it's a proper employee with proper credentials.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
I came across the company serveria.com from seeing multiple adverts on this forum offering discounted dedciated servers, so I decided to order a server as they were in the EU and offered a fair server at a fair price.
Several days later I am still waiting for the server, the order has been paid in full and is just 'Pending' so I opened a ticket which has yet to be answered. I have even sent an email but heard nothing. With a company offering dedciated servers on this forum and have a long history I'm not sure what to do, is there an admin to report this too? Has anyone had issues with this company? Are there no checks made on companies offering dedicated servers on this forum? Its put me off now looking for any other servers via this forum.
Hey all,
I'm looking for suggestions for a new dedicated servers based East Coast USA, all my servers are European based so I don't know any good US based server companies. I'm in need of a server with
Atleast a 6c/12t CPU /Intel Xeon etc
Between 64GB & 128GB RAM
1 Gbps unmetered bandwidth
4TB Storeage (either 1x4TG or 2x2TB merged)
Ubuntu 18.04 OS (custom software for clients demands 18.04)
So suggestions welcome, but please no OVH or Hetzner suggestions as I don't use them, had bad experiences with both.
Cheers
